I've got a little time off from classes for the Holidays, so I'm working on some different techniques for forest scenes.  I busted out a dark forest painting in hopes of creating a foggy and mysterious feel.  I didn't quite capture it, so I tried a different approach.  With several glaze like layers, I managed to be satisfied with my Golden Winter Pond painting.  It reminds me of the area that we currently live in over here on the East Coast in Virginia.  The winter here tends to be more wet, the grass is still green and we often get fog in the mornings and evenings.  In the future I will be working with an airbrush as a method of getting a m
